The trend-forecasting module consisted of predicting a future trend for Autumn/ Winter for the year 2017. This was from in-depth research and analysis from micro trends, evaluating key drivers and observational research that would lead to a macro trend for the future.
The concept for the trend EMPIRICAL was based upon the simplest form, focusing on genderless fashion accessories for both males and females. The clash of fearless masculine structure combined with the touch of simple elegance encourages the theme of gender free behaviour. Clean cut geometric shapes fused with a futuristic touch of minimalism brings out a unisex trend with a deep intimate indulgence. A selection of sinister colours portrays dominance through the haunting theme. Simplicity is defined with the touch of neutral tints.
This module was focused on visual aesthetics and layout skills. A minimalist style was used to represent the gender-neutral concept for the trend-forecasting book.
