BLUE SKY EVENTS
B O L L Y W O O D B L I S S EVENT
This module consisted of working within a team of nine to pitch an event idea and then to deliver it.
I was elected team leader and delegated job roles to each team member according to their strengths and weaknesses.
A ‘Bollywood Bliss’ event was organised in order to raise money for a local Birmingham charity, Acorn children’s hospice. Many fundraising events had taken place before hand such as cake stalls and a games evening. This was to raise money for the location, entertainment, décor and marketing for the event. Therefore, the tickets that were sold from the event were used to raise money for the charity.
The event was located in Birmingham at Nuvo Cocktail Bar with the dress code being smart.
The Bollywood Bliss evening was filled with entertainment consisting of a live DJ, belly dancers, henna artists and prize raffle.
This module developed my skills such as: team work, negotiation, networking, organizing, working under pressure and compromising, in order to deliver the ‘Bollywood Bliss’ event. The outcome for the 'Bollywood Bliss' event was successful as we accomplished our goal to raise money for the selected chairty 'Hospice'.
